I HATED Jess when he first showed up. Until the sprinkler scene. (Poor Dean.) Then I sort of - didn’t hate him. But then later I hated him again. Because he was kind of a jerk.
They were so intellectually perfect for each other and such good chemistry. Oh I miss Rory and Jess (and the Loreleis). What a clever little P&P sound-over. I loved it. Thank you.
I hated Jess, until Dean turned into a jerk, and then I rooted for Jess, not because I liked him, but because I was rooting against Dean. Logan - - ick.
Why couldn’t Rory ever just find someone nice?
Logan was smarmy. I did not like him. I was sad to see how things deteroriated with Dean. And Dean’s character was kind of dumbed down later. In the beginning when they first met, he caught a lot of her references.
Jess was just trouble. Gorgeous trouble, but trouble nonetheless. It would take him a long time to grow up.
Thought the dubbing was a bit strange, but then again, I loathe, despise and abominate Kiera Knightly.
I didn’t watch the video and I didn’t read the comments–I just started season 2 (I’m a GG virgin) and I don’t want anything ruined! (but are you telling me Dean and Rory don’t make it very far????)
Aaaah! They totally need to make a Gilmore Girls movie where Rory and Jess get together. Because I too thought Logan was totally smarmy and just plain ick.
Yeah, season 7 was pretty weak. They need to make an alternate season 7 with Amy and Dan P doing the writing and directing. I’d totally buy that DVD.
I read an interview with her (amy) and she was pretty upset with the way things went. I guess she had it all in her head who was going to end up with whom, and how it would all end, right down to the last line.
The last line was: “By the way, Rory, you’re adopted”.
I know, I know…but what I meant was it would actually work and make so much sense if Lorelai had actually been adopted! It would have been hilarious. Even more hilarious then if Rory had been adopted…well, to me, anyway.
Loved this show! And I hated how it ended. Seriously. I didn’t even get that it was the series finale until I went online looking for what would be in the next season and realized that was it! So call me dumb, but that the ending was no finale.
I liked Jess the best. I always figured the series would end with them getting back together.
Will no one speak out for Logan? I thought he was the best boyfriend for Rory. I hated the finale. It took me 2 months to accept it! Two months!
Dean was an okay first boyfriend, but he got way too clingy, and didn’t add anything. Jess would just have brought Rory down. Logan, on the other hand, loosened her up, which she needed.
I loved that show - partly because there was FINALLY another girl named Rory (although they spelled it wrong, but so does everyone else, LOL) - but the 7th season was pretty blah, so I wasn’t too sad when it ended. Sorry, but I hated Jess. Dean was OK until the whole cheating thing. Logan was my favorite.
Honestly, all of you guys are retarded if you think Logan was a good boyfriend…hmmm…cheater (many times), lier, gambler, snob, lazy, alcoholic, everything handed to him fake out who left Rory in the end because, once again, he didn’t get what he wanted. Marriage. Jess, although cranky, was awesome. He at least had some depth. He was smart, witty, handsome, deep, mysterious, and had a bright future. Never had anything handed to him and still made something of himself. Logan had no depth. He’s such a shmuck. Such a waste of Rory’s time. AHHH! Jess totally was like Mr. Darcy and Logan was like the guy who runs off with Elizabeth’s younger sister…had everyone fooled but was an idiot.
You cannot compare Logan and Mr. Wickham. Mr. Wickham pretended to be something he was not, Logan was upfront about everything he was. Logan changed for the better after meeting Rory–Mr. Wickham kept spiraling downhill after meeting Elizabeth.
That is AWESOME!!!!
Woo hoo, first comment!

But I never liked Logan. He’s so smarmy.

Comment #4 by randajoyMay 29th, 2008 at 12:52 amSuch a clever video. But, really, who has time to make such a thing?
I never did agree with Rory’s taste in men. I’m on Sue’s team. Logan is smarmy. (Whatever the heck that is.)
Didn’t Jess and Rory date each other in real life?

Comment #10 by JamieMay 29th, 2008 at 7:28 amI never watched Gilmore Girls, but I went to high school with the guy who played the farmer guy, Jackson.
Comment #11 by Susan MMay 29th, 2008 at 7:37 amI HEART Gilmore Girls. So sad it ended (even more sad Amy P. left so they had to end it because it got so whacked).
I always wanted Rory and Jess to end up together, too. I had a very love/hate thing with Logan.

Comment #12 by cherylMay 29th, 2008 at 7:43 amYou knew THE Jackson!?!? WOW! I love that. His character was one of the best on the show…
cheryl, I agree with you. I stopped watching after amy p left. It was just…..different and not in a good way at all.
I loved, loved, loved jackson and sookie! And I miss GG music! Okay, I’m gonna have to start putting the series on my Netflix so I can get my fix.
Comment #13 by mellocelloMay 29th, 2008 at 8:01 amI vaguely remember him (sorry). I’m pretty sure he played trombone in band. I don’t have a very good memory.
Comment #14 by Susan MMay 29th, 2008 at 8:08 amLoved this! Loved Gilmore Girls, in fact one of the mother’s day cards this year was a sound card of Rory and Lorelei chatting it up. It was great.
I guess I identify with Rory and Jess because it was a lot like me in HS. And, I married Jess. And…
we lived happily ever after.

Comment #18 by cherylMay 29th, 2008 at 9:33 amYes, but which Rory was adopted?! (seriously, it’s gotta be Lorelai. Did I spell her name right??)
Rory the younger would be the one adopted. It’s a joke line, meant to undermine the entire show based on having a baby at sixteen.

Comment #20 by cherylMay 29th, 2008 at 9:40 amcheryl, I agree. that would explain so much! Pure genios. Man, I wish Amy would have stayed. why did she leave anyway?
Comment #21 by mellocelloMay 29th, 2008 at 9:43 amNo idea. Salary? Creative dissent? I can’t remember…
