I don’t know why, but it just made me sort of happy when they called that Dharma station, ‘The Lamppost’. Nice little nod to C.S. Lewis, there, and further evidence that they’ve ditched the whole reality of the island completely, and that now, we’re all in Narnia.

I mean, I’m much more comfortable with the island being Narnia than an actual, real place. Think about it–it’s hard to get to, you never quite know when you can get back, you can’t ever go back or get out the same way, there’s all kinds of weird time issues with the island that don’t affect the people who are off the island, and nobody in the real world really knows where Narnia is, or how long it’s been around. Plus, people come back to life on Narnia all the time, so the death thing? Totally irrelevant.

But other than that little ditty, as well as trying to figure out the significance of Ben reading “Ulysses”, I didn’t think this episode was all that revealing. I did enjoy it, though, and I’m glad that something finally happened–yay, they’re back! They’ve been talking about going back for like a season and a half now, right? Who knew it could happen so soon? I was ready to wait a good 3, maybe 4 more episodes before they got back. So, it’s nice that we’re moving along.

And can I just say how different Lapides looked without the full bushy beard? Weird.

I missed Saywer, though, and Kate looked like crap. What on earth could have happened to Aaron? Did she give him to his grandmother? Did she send him to Korea? Where is that little cutie?

So glad Desmond didn’t go, and I don’t care if the island isn’t done with him. He has a child, dang it, and even if everybody else seems to want to abandon their kids, at least he isn’t going for it. I just hope, hope, hope that Ben’s “loose end” wasn’t Penny, and that she’s still alive. But I have no idea who beat the crap out of Ben. Any ideas on that?

So I guess I’ll keep watching. Can’t stop now.

(Sorry this is a day late. It’s been a little nuts over here.)
