So, I never got around to talking about last week.  But Ramon made a weird reptile thingy and it was not in the vein of “hot green aliens that Captain Kirk would like to get freaky with”…so auf we go.  I like Ramon, but that was baaaaaaaaaaaad.

OK, so now we have the MOST COLORFUL CHALLENGE EVER!!!

Make something blue.

Seriously.  That was it.  I’m not even making this up.  I kept waiting for something ELSE, like….make it out of styrofoam, or book covers, or BLUEBERRIES, but no.  That was it.  Just…..blue.  For Macy’s.

Ok then.  Tricky, tricky.

Here we have Louise working on her losing design.  The design was basic enough, but the whole time, I just couldn’t get over what SHE was wearing.  It’s not clear in this pic, but she also has fishnets on.  Her whole outfit was so distracting, I yelled at the screen “WHAT are you wearing??”  (I got answered…”Just my ballet clothes, mom, isn’t that OK?”…I need to talk more quietly to TV people who can’t hear me.)

And…the losing outfit walks down the runway.  It’s bad, yes, especially the ruffles, but at least it’s blue.  Which is more than I can say for Logan.  If any of you were wondering what ill fitting pants in gray looked like, well, look no further, my friends.

My personal favorite, and the one I was rooting for:

Carol Hannah!  I think I just like her aesthetic.  I think this is gorgeous.  It’s very similar to some other stuff we’ve seen of hers, but with the judges changing CONSTANTLY, who’s to know?  I mean, if Michael and Nina don’t see it week after week, they won’t care if it’s the same.  The judging, it’s annoying.  The dress is pretty, though.

And Irina takes it all with….this. REALLY?  It doesn’t seem very blue or very cool, but hey, it doesn’t have fungus masquerading as ruffles, so that’s a plus. Nor is it a “Disco Pumpkin.”  Ah. Michael Kors, how I love your critiques.  I wish you were there every week.

I’m glad they didn’t like this, because I was like “If that is what is stylish now, I’m even more screwed than I thought.”  The top is the most disturbing to me, but the silhouette is bad, too. I’m not sure what body type this would be good for.  It just “embiggens” the hips, if I may.

And SO. Maybe next week we’ll have another challenge where there is no twist whatsoever and nothing interesting to watch.  I’ll still probably blog about it, though, so I accept that I am part of the problem.

I want Carol Hannah to win.

I want Nicolas to go home.
