1. I think with the absence of comments in the past 3 hours gives you a good idea of the question. At least, here on Mormon Mommy Wars. Bad choice.

2. Not at all, Jody. There is a great discussion going on at Segullah. Heather’s links here to her work with Segullah almost always direct the discussion over there.

   As an adult convert, I’ve wrestled with many things that church leaders have said- and having a faithful place to do so is a blessing. Heaven knows there are plenty of people who want to destroy my faith. I NEED to be able to ask hard questions to people who are interested in working out good answers with me, not dismissing my concerns.

3. Yep. There’s no lack of comments at Segullah, and they are respectful in nature - it’s a good discussion.

4. I’m actually very pleased with how the discussion has gone over there. If you haven’t had a chance to hop over there, take a minute. I really appreciate the tone that everybody has set.

   I’m not really sure what “bad choice” meant, though. Bad choice to suggest that people ever do disagree with the brethren? Bad choice to talk about it? Bad choice of title?

   I’ve already printed out the May 4, 2007 press release on doctrine for my scriptures. (something I will surely use when the SS lesson derails…which it often does
