To celebrate their 200th anniversary, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus has generously donated circus tickets to the Greatest Show on Earth and we get to give them away here!
We have family four-packs of tickets for FOUR lucky families to giveawy! Any of you who are in the general area of Zion or are willing to come to Salt Lake, September 22-26 to see the show at Energy Solutions Arena, you know what to do! Just comment below on what you like best about the circus before September 7th and we will randomly select 4 lucky winners.
In addition to the ticket giveaway, they are also awarding more than $150,00 in medals and grants to children ages six to 14 who have created social good and enriched their local community through their own inventive and pioneering actions. To learn more about these awards or nominate a child, visit www.thebarnumaward.com.
My favorate part of the circus was always the pretty ladies in sparkly clothes riding the elephants. O.K. now, your turn.
UPDATE….. And the lucky winners are comment numbers 35, 19, 15 and 48! I will be emailing each of you to arrange for the delivery of your tickets! Congratulations and enjoy the show.

I’ve only been to the circus once before, and I was pretty young, so I don’t have much to go on. But I love elephants. Definitely the elephants.

Comment #45 by Amateur StephSeptember 2nd, 2010 at 8:22 amThink of how they get those animals to do all those silly tricks for humans? They keep these naturally wild animals caged and abuse them terribly in order to get them to do these “circus tricks” for us. Ringling Brother’s abuse of elephants has been a recent target of PETA. It’s terrible what they do to these animals for our entertainment. Please boycott the circus.
Comment #46 by joshSeptember 2nd, 2010 at 11:06 amI have never been to the circus (always wanted to go), but I imagine my favorite part would be watching my kids see all the animals!

Comment #50 by Jamie NSeptember 4th, 2010 at 9:27 pmI’ve never been to a circus…but my parents met at Circus Circus in Las Vegas….and my favorite movie as a kid was about a circus (Dumbo).
Comment #51 by Mother of the Wild BoysSeptember 4th, 2010 at 10:28 pmWhen I was young a VERY small circus came to our small Alaska town. The remember two things well. The first is the elephant race with the mayors riding the elephants. (The elephants took a little detour from the course and my sister and I almost got trampled.) The other thing is also elephant related. I still remember being amazed at how big elephant poop is.
One of my favorite movies was that Greatest Show on Earth movie with Jimmy Stewart. I hope whoever wins the tickets will have a great time. Alas, I cannot enter.
