I Really Have to Organize my Linen Closet. And So I Blog.14 Feb 2011 06:08 pm

I can either clean my house or exercise my body. Somehow, I don’t have the emotional energy to do both. And seeing as most of my workouts are 20-30 minutes long, (well, yoga is longer) that does seem slightly pathetic.
Did you know that Natalie from the 30 day shred has her own workout video? True story - it was on my Comcast On Demand Exercise TV. Now we can hear her speak!
Why is the worst part of exercising the changing of the bra?
OK, I have to go do my windows now. My in-laws are coming. Wish me luck.

Windows? I thought you were supposed to do your closet….
Comment #1 by Heather O.February 14th, 2011 at 6:21 pmI’d do the closet. It’s easier.
Comment #2 by LucyFebruary 14th, 2011 at 6:22 pmGood luck!
I frequently find myself wishing for a linen closet to organize. I love almost everything about my house except for it’s lack of storage space.
I would take organizing linens over washing windows any day.

Comment #4 by mormonhermitmomFebruary 14th, 2011 at 7:47 pmI have to do the windows AND the closet. And yes, the closet is way easier. I also have to do….everything else. Or as my husband says: only TWO things! Clean everything and organize everything.
The pantry is done, though. When I feel overwhelmed, I just look at the pretty pretty pantry. And I’m pretty sure the laundry won’t be quiet until they get here. Sheets, towels, AND bedskirts have to be washed, thanks to my dog.
Comment #5 by The WizFebruary 14th, 2011 at 8:34 pmhahahaha. I’m totally going to steal your husband’s idea of “how to clean a house”. Two steps! That’s hilarious.
I love this place.
Comment #6 by ErinAnnFebruary 14th, 2011 at 9:49 pmI can’t tell you how many times I’ve pulled a muscle in my arm pulling that stupid, sweaty sports bra off my body! Amen sistah! It truly is the hardest part of working out!
Comment #7 by FairchildFebruary 14th, 2011 at 10:38 pmWait…doesn’t organizing a closet count as exercise??
Comment #8 by LisaCFebruary 15th, 2011 at 3:08 amSo do ya’ll seriously clean ALL your windows inside and out? How often do you do this? I clean some of my windows on the inside–when they’re obviously smudgy–but I don’t really bother with the outside. BUT I like the idea of having clean windows! To me it seems like a spring cleaning thing….like something you hire some decons in the ward to do or get your too-cheap-to-pay-the-deacons husband to commit to a Saturday cleaning them. So seriously, how often do you clean windows?
Comment #9 by MiggyFebruary 15th, 2011 at 8:36 am@ miggy, everytime we move. . . which ends up being every two or three years. Maybe when I own my own house I’ll feel more motivated to clean those windows more frequently.
Comment #10 by Tiffany W.February 15th, 2011 at 9:30 am@Miggy - our windows are all ground level (we have a one story) and they take basically take the place of wall space in our living room - they are ALWAYS smudgy and fingerprinty. In our old house, I cleaned them maybe yearly - here, I could literally clean them daily if I had the motivation to do so.
Comment #11 by The WizFebruary 15th, 2011 at 10:03 amWe’ve been in our house 10 years and I haven’t cleaned the windows yet. I bought that Windex window kit to do it a couple of years ago…
