Only on one side, though. Right under and around my eye, and down my cheeks to my jaw. I was cupping it in pain yesterday, and I felt like The Phantom of the Opera.
My teeth hurt, too. It’s hard to chew on that side, and add to that the 3 canker sores I have on the OTHER side of my mouth, and you can imagine what I looked like trying to eat the pizza DH brought home when, at 4:30pm, I called to inform him that I was dying.
I’ve been battling a nasty bear of a cold for over a week now, and I fear I have a sinus infection. I’ve never had one of those–this is new territory for me. It feels better today (as in, I can actually stand up and lean forward without pain—not much forward, though), but I’m wondering if I should go to the doctor, or just wait it out.
So, has anybody had a sinus infection before? Is it something you wait out, or do I have to drag my sorry carcass and my small child to the doctor, where all kinds of other germs lay in wait to assault my family? We’ve been fairly doctor free (well, the kids have, anyway) this winter, and it would be great if we could keep that habit alive.
So hit me with your best sinusitis stories, ladies. And I’ll even tell you the color of my snot:thick, creamy yellow with pink tinges of blood (although today the snot had lots more blood) so you won’t feel shy about sharing. I know, I’m SO good to you.
