We are currently doing a summer internship at a large law firm. I knew that DH would probably have to work some long hours, and he is doing this to try to ensure a job offer at the end of the summer ( if that is at all possible). I am so blessed to be able to be a SAHM, with our DD, which brings me no end of joy, but some days it is just hard and tiring. I need a break at the end of the day and when DH comes home late, or even early, but with work to do, it is sometimes more than I think I can handle.
I don’t want to say I am resentful of my husband- he is working very hard for our family and he does try to help when he can. How do you survive feeling kind of like a single parent sometimes? I know lawyers are not the only ones- doctors, anyone who works a lot goes through it. How do you survive it with kids? Part of me feels selfish for wanting a break every now and then- how do you justify that? Any advice would be appreciated-
