I got a letter from my HOA, to which I’ve paid no dues and met nobody on the board. I’ve not been welcomed, informed of rules, or given parameters. Yet apparently my “unsightly weeds” are bringing down my neighbor’s property values.
Pursuant to the letter sent (before we moved here) neighbors agreed to keep the yards free of trash, weeds, and you know, other stuff that makes it look like white trash lives there. Please take action, now and in the future.
I laughed and laughed. Because, seriously, what is the HOA going to do if I don’t pull go out in the 100+ degree weather and tackle prickly weeds? Ban me from the (non-existent) clubhouse? Keep me out of the community pool that doesn’t exist? Maybe, they will *gasp* send me another letter!!!
This house was a rental before we bought it. And we all know how renters keep up the beautiful landscape. And the homeowner quit caring the second the contract was signed (obviously). So we started out behind. Also, I can live in harmony with my weeds. Some of them are quite pretty, and they attract butterflies. Plus, I’m lazy.
I’ve been pulling some weeds at night, but it gets dark early, and creepy weird things come out at night. So truly, I’m fighting a losing battle here.
So there you go. White trash has moved in, and we ain’t leavin’ any time soon. Besides, nobody should be kept from having weeds if she wants to have them! It’s undemocratic!
