In case you were wondering what is in those little glow stick thingies15 Oct 2007 06:12 am

It’s slick, slightly sticky, and transparent, which means you can’t really tell it’s on your hands until it’s on your shirt, your skirt, your couch, and you’ve left glowing handprints on the countertops, doors, doorknobs….
Chemistry. What a treat.
I’m over at Segullah again today. Check it out.

I’m laughing WITH you, not AT you! Really, that’s too funny. I’m picturing a mommy version of CSI.

Comment #5 by Tracy MOctober 15th, 2007 at 10:07 amTo be fair, I was sitting there twirling it for an hour while chatting on the phone. So it went through some pretty heavy duty mangling before it started to leak.
Comment #6 by Heather O.October 15th, 2007 at 10:21 amhahaha! Too funny! We did this when I was a young girl…all over the beds and our pajamas.
My dad was a helicopter pilot in the Army and he said that as a prank some of the guys poured these things all over a helicopter once. I can only imagine! LOL!

Comment #8 by SueOctober 15th, 2007 at 5:28 pmHa Ha!! I used these one year in high school for a costume. I had the military issue kind, broke it open and poured it all over a white lab coat. I then made dark circles under my eyes and ratted my hair all crazy. I went to the Halloween dance as a mad scientist. I LOVED this costume and it worked great in the dark and all of the black lights!!
Comment #9 by AngieOctober 16th, 2007 at 6:22 amWell, we won’t be checking out Target’s $1 bin!
Heather, I love what you wrote at Segullah. I enjoy reading your perspective and thoughts!
