I have sent him to school for the past 4 days, only to have him come home coughing, wiping snot from his face, and looking gray, tired, and grumpy. He hasn’t been able to kick this cold he has, so I decided to keep him home today.
Clearly, the peace and quiet is doing him good.
It’s barely noon, and he has made a fort out of my bed, lost and found his Spiderman toy, and put my entire collection of DVDs in a laundry basket to drag around the house, and then fell on the floor to tell me that it was too hard to keep pulling them around, and could I please put them all away for him.
His sister is in total awe that he is home, and just went down for her “morning” nap, being previously unable to sleep because she was so enamored of the amazing dance moves he was executing while watching “High School Musical”, which he has been doing pretty much nonstop SINCE SEVEN THIRTY IN THE MORNING.
Bop bop bop, bop ’till you drop indeed. And if you don’t recognize that reference, just c’mon over to my house. We’ll catch you up.
I just wiped blueberry jelly off my computer screen.
Somebody in this house needs some tranquilizers. And I’m not totally sure I’m talking about the 5 year old.
